Is lucas grease any good. Generally the main reason that you would use Lucas Xtra Heavy Duty Grease over the Red n Tacky grease is because it is better for surviving at higher temperatures. If you use Red n Tacky on bearings and other machinery that is going to get to extremely high temperatures then youre going to have issues with it melting at extremely high temperatures. Lucas makes a good product think either would be fine.
MSDS with same ingredients does not mean the products are identical. However the differances if any would be subtle. May be slightly different ingredient ratios and processing to change viscosity temprature rating stability etc.
So I just inherited almost 3 full cases of the stuff. Have never used this particular grease in any application. I know Lucas works well with some of there products but wanting 2 see if anyone has used or been using this on there truck.

Red N Tacky Grease. G3 is a bad ass grease. But my recommendation would be to use the Lucas marine grease.
If you were to try both you would see similar performance and the marine is cheaper. The Lucas grease you mentioned would work well for bearings front steering joints u-joints rear axle bearing. But for the pinbushings on the loader and backhoe it would work fine but a preferred grease for pinbushings joints is a grease that has molybdenum disulphide moly grease.

Unlike the xtra heavy duty Lucas that is a urea polymer grease or something like that. But the red tacky says it can be used for wheel bearings I think. Same stuff as marine grease really.
Its great stuff doesnt wash out and any muck just sits on the top of it. I use it for all my headsets BBs Pivots Pedals and. You mentioned the brand of grease in your letter which I removed because its a perfectly good product and the correct one for your application.
