You can get 20-25 more hp from your 150. But it will shorten the life expectency of the powerhead and will certainly be expensive. Theres a little more to it than changing the cpu and lightening the flywheel.

Another thing ive heard is that the engines only have to be within a percent of the stated horsepower. Im not sure what percent that is thats just what ive heard. I know lots of the older carbed engines you could switch carbs and go from a smaller HP to bigger HP.
Worthy upgrade for inshore fishing not so worthy of high performance. I did add a jack plate to help lift the hull a little to help reduce the squat from the four stroke. I am on my third prop right now getting close to the 60mph mark.
